Please review the following important information before applying to adopt.

Our adoption fees are listed below but are subject to change at any time:
$150 for senior dogs over the age of 6 years
$250 for adult dogs, 1-6 years of age
$350 for puppies under the age of 1 year

All pets will receive age-appropriate vaccinations and be spayed or neutered before adoption.  If the pet is too young for spay/neuter surgery, you can foster-to-adopt until the surgery is complete.

Our dogs are located in Houston, Texas, or Colorado.  If you wish to adopt a pet that is not currently near your location, there may be a transport fee in addition to an adoption fee (typically $150-$250).

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

We require an application, an interview, and an adoption contract regarding the care and treatment of the pet.

We may also request to visit your home or have you provide references.

Please research city, county, or state laws regarding the keeping of pets, including the legal number allowed, licensing requirements, and whether certain breeds are banned or restricted in your community.

If you rent, you must verify any size or breed restrictions included in your rental contract.  We will need a letter from your landlord stating you’re allowed to have this pet on the property.  The letter or email should contain their contact information and the amount of any pet deposit if applicable.

Please ensure everyone in your family or living with you has agreed to a new pet coming into the home.

Animal Aid Brigade does not reimburse adopters for expenses incurred after the adoption.

If we receive multiple applications for the same pet, we will work to choose the home that is the best fit. The order in which applications are received is not considered.

Animal Aid Brigade reserves the right to refuse an application for any reason if we feel the dog’s individual needs will not be properly met, or the adoption is not in the best interest of the dog.

If the pet is not working out, we ask the adopter to agree to contact Animal Aid Brigade to return the animal and not take it to a shelter, rehome, sell or give it away.

If you agree to the above terms, please complete the following application completely.  Failure to provide all requested information or false information will result in a denial
